Esto significa que a partir de ahora todas las caracter\u00edsticas, informes y herramientas disponibles en la versi\u00f3n \u201ccl\u00e1sica\u201d de <strong>Google Analytics<\/strong>, como por ejemplo el Remarketing y los informes demogr\u00e1ficos, estar\u00e1n disponibles en Universal Analytics, convirti\u00e9ndose adem\u00e1s en el nuevo est\u00e1ndar de la herramienta.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es exactamente Universal Analytics?<\/h2>\n<p>Tal como os avanz\u00e1bamos en este\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.overalia.com\/blog\/11\/2012\/novedades-en-google-analytics-conociendo-mejor-al-usuario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">otro post<\/a> de nuestro blog, Universal Analytics es una nueva forma de medici\u00f3n y procesamiento de los datos gracias a un conjunto de innovaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas. Hoy en d\u00eda los usuarios usan distintos dispositivos (m\u00f3viles, tablets, ordenadores) y distintos canales (b\u00fasqueda, redes sociales, etc.) a la hora de acceder a una web. Universal Analytics nos permite establecer la relaci\u00f3n entre esas visitas y los usuarios, ayudando enormemente a esclarecer c\u00f3mo interact\u00faan los usuarios con nuestra web.<\/p>\n<p>Veamos un <strong>resumen de las novedades<\/strong> que incluye este lanzamiento de Universal Analytics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Compatibilidad con listas de Remarketing<\/strong>: El remarketing permite volver a captar a los visitantes del sitio mediante la tecnolog\u00eda de Google Analytics y la cobertura de la Red de Display de Google.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Informes demogr\u00e1ficos ya disponibles con UA<\/strong>: son una buena herramienta para ayudarnos a entender mejor qui\u00e9n llega a nuestra web. Incluyen datos como sexo, edad e intereses del usuario.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soporte completo de todas las caracter\u00edsticas de Universal Analytics en Google Tag Manager<\/strong>. Si necesitas migrar a Universal Analytics, es buen momento para empezar a usar esta fant\u00e1stica herramienta.<\/li>\n<li><strong>User-Id<\/strong>: esta nueva caracter\u00edstica permite seguir al usuario a trav\u00e9s de distintos dispositivos. Junto a ella, llegan los nuevos informes \u201cCross-Device\u201d, que nos ayudar\u00e1n a entender qu\u00e9 dispositivos usan los usuarios, funnel de dispositivos usados antes de una conversi\u00f3n y el impacto de los dispositivos en las ventas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Procesamiento de datos basado en zona horaria<\/strong>: Hasta ahora se procesaban en la zona horaria del Pac\u00edfico, pero mediante esta nueva caracter\u00edstica podremos ajustar el procesamiento a nuestra zona horaria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 implica esta actualizaci\u00f3n?<\/h2>\n<p>Desde hoy Universal Analytics ser\u00e1 la \u00fanica opci\u00f3n para crear nuevas propiedades en Google Analytics. Adem\u00e1s, desde Google se est\u00e1 llevando a cabo un proceso progresivo de migraci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica de todas las propiedades cl\u00e1sicas a UA, por lo que <strong>es muy importante que preparemos un plan de migraci\u00f3n para adaptarnos a este cambio.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Esta migraci\u00f3n de ninguna manera supone perder ning\u00fan dato, seguiremos teniendo todas las herramientas e informes cl\u00e1sicos de Google Analytics, adem\u00e1s de todas las novedades que vayan surgiendo para Universal.<\/p>\n<p>Es importante destacar que si no hacemos nada y dejamos que sea Google quien actualice autom\u00e1ticamente nuestras propiedades, es posible que perdamos opciones de configuraci\u00f3n y los datos sean inexactos. Es necesario actualizar el c\u00f3digo de seguimiento en nuestras webs para un correcto <strong>proceso de migraci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Dicho proceso consta b\u00e1sicamente de <strong>dos pasos<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transferir la propiedad en el administrador de Google Analytics a Universal.<\/li>\n<li>Actualizar el c\u00f3digo de seguimiento en la web.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Los datos de las propiedades que no hayan sido actualizadas se seguir\u00e1n procesando durante un periodo de 2 a\u00f1os, a partir del cual se perder\u00e1n.
